I was duly favored with your Letter of the 27 Janry and annexed you have the annual Statement of Ore raised in Weardale & Compositions etc paid for the Year ending 30 Sepr last; by which the Balance due from the Govr & Co to Col Beaumont amounts to £336-7-11. – You will please to observe that in the quantity of Ore raised by Us, is included all the Tontale Ore, from whatsoever source obtained, and I take it for granted you also include it, in the statement of the Quantity raised by you.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
