I am going over Mr Keys statement of the Limehouse accounts. I cannot make them agree with those formerly sent in.
The first return of <book> debts due to the concern is stated at £24,333- 11s- 10d which agrees with Mr Keys former statement, but from this he deducts £50-2s-4d the difference of receipts of Lead over Deliveries between the 16th August & 10th of Sept[ember] 1831 which I conceive should be should be added to the amount of Stock and not deducted. This <L…..> however does not agree with the former return.
The value of the Lead received in that Month being stated at £1,844.13s6d and in the last return at £1814 .13s6d making a difference of £30.
Mr Donkin tells me he has written fully to Mr Bell how the Executorship is to be stated Viz
Mr Beaumont to be debited
1. Value of Stock at Mrs Beaumonts Death £12,029 -13 – 2
2. Cash in Bankers hands 335
3. All Debts due to the concern at the time
of Mrs B[eaumon]ts death and which have
since been received.
4. The Debts not received to be added if any
are rec[eive]d after this time
Mr Beaumont to have credit for all Debts due to the Limehouse concern at Mrs Beaumonts death and since paid
Mr Beaumont will not have to account for any rents rec[eived] from the Tooley street property unless they were due prior to Mrs Beaumonts death.
The £27,200-11s6d paid to the Newcastle house for Lead must be carried to Mr B[eaumon]ts credit; that sum having been accounted for in the Return made of the Effects in Northumb[erland]. The Balance due to Mr B[eaumon]t from the Limehouse works and given to Mr Key when I was in London was £13,817-14s-4d from which the sum of £111-8s9d must be deducted for Lead Pipe etc sent to Bretton, Newcastle & Bywell making the Balance £13,706-5s-7d. It is reported here that you have had an application for 25,000 P[iece]s Lead to ship Foreign
