Gentn.

      I have received your Letter of the 18th. enclosing 8 Bills amount £432 -12 -6 w.ch Sum I have placed to the Credit of your Accot. with T.R.Beaumont Esq. for fine Silver sent you. – I observe what you say respecting the considerable Drop in the Price of fine Silver, & though I have been selling it at 6s/2d p[er] Oz at this Place, I have made an Abatement in your Accot. of the odd 2d p[er] Oz but hope you will not object to allow me the same Price (6s/’’d p[er] Ounce) for a piece sent you this day p[er] Leeds Waggon containing 1060 Ounces, which you will place to accot. as usual, and advise me on your Receipt of the same. 

Bills at a short date will be very acceptable at this Time.   I am &c. -J.E.B.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
