I have rec[eive]d your favour of the 22 Inst advising the Cake of fine Silver sent you this month had come to hand, & I have debited your account £474.5..- for the Amount. Not having rec[eive]d from you any acc[oun]t of the Value of the 1546 Oz sent you the 6 May, nor of any payment being made to Glyn & Co for it. I shall be obliged by your favouring me with the particulars and will thank you if you will in future advise me of any payments you make o them for Silver sent from hence on Col Beaumont’s Acc[oun]t, that I may be enabled to make the entries with regularity.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
